Trinidad Mac-Auliffe is an award-winning Fine Art Photographer, Multimedia Artist, Creative Arts Educator.
Born and raised in Chile, she started her career in New York City working as a freelance artist for interior designers and private clients. Mac-Auliffe earned her Masters of Fine Arts from the College of Design, Architecture, Art, and Planning (DAAP) at the University of Cincinnati in 2006.
Mac-Auliffe’s work is deeply rooted in conceptual thinking and research, culminating in bodies of work that reflect her artistic and philosophical background. From her early studies in anatomical drawing, she grew to focus on theatrical makeup design and drama studies. Each of these disciplines is evident in her digital photography and video work which has been widely acclaimed for its dramatic flair and profound messaging, most notably her “Theater of the Body” & “The Body you live in” series 2006-2015
Along with her fine art and client portraiture photography, Trinidad has been a visual director, producer, project consultant, manager, or designer for several artistic multimedia collaborations integrating music, dance, and visuals. * New York City, NY, Stonny Brook, Los Angeles and Cincinnati.
Additionally, she has served as a juror for the Illinois Arts Council Photography Fellowship Awards.
Trinidad's work has been exhibited internationally, including shows in Japan and Chile, and has been shown extensively in prominent US venues including the Carnegie Visual & Performing Arts Center and NKU gallery in KY, the Center for Fine Art Photography, CO, The Los Angeles Center for Digital Art, the Wilmer Jennings gallery, Epiphany Gallery and Agora Gallery in New York City among many others places in Cincinnati, San Diego, C.A, St Petersburg, Fl etc..
She has been the recipient of several artist awards including the prestigious, Graduate Summer Research Grant from the university of Cincinnati, URC Fellowship, the Louis Rockwood Grant, Summer fair Artist grant and among other numerous awards Trinidad’s work has been honored with the En Foco New Works Award, Best in Show for the Art Students League; and Honorable Mention in the Adobe Digital Imaging Competition and the international Photography award.
Numerous publications have featured Trinidad’s work, including Camera Arts Magazine, Beyond Race Magazine and Nueva Luz Publication, Architectural Digest and ED magazine Chile.
She was featured in a spot titled “International Style” on CNN America and the New York Times.
Her work as an Artist and Art Director have won her placement in several publications including the New York Times, Nueva Luz publication, Eyemazing magazine, Camera Arts, Beyond race & Apple Pro website.
Trinidad has also written several published articles and reviews.
Trinidad’s Art work is held in private and public collections worldwide.
An experienced instructor, Trinidad has taught photography, digital imaging, and methods and concepts at the University of Cincinnati and the Art Academy of Cincinnati, in addition to classical drawing at University Finnis Terrae in Santiago, Chile.
She has also developed curriculums trough out her personal studio focused on creative project development, drawing and digital imagining. As a teacher and educator she has been an invited artist for several outreach programs, including the Scrips program and the Selected student groups at the Contemporary Art Center ( CAC) Cincinnati , Dayton Institute & Children Museum Cincinnati.
Trinidad is also the creator of Raw intervention * The Art of Food Project”
A sustainable food program focused on the alchemy of food, created in 2012 with the purpose to spread awareness about healing foods, nutritional value of our natural food sources and implement educational programs that promoted sustainable living and natural healing.
She is a certified Chef , with an entrepreneurial spirit that lead this project into a full time biz until 2019.In 2017 | 20018 as part of her Art of food education program she developed The Body Mapping sessions with a system that merged creative drawings is order to identify the state of being using our creative faculties to promote healing.
In 2019 after she began to focus most of her art practice in drawing and painting, becoming more and more interested in Illustrations. She is currently finishing a book she began during the pandemic and creating an art store to house and sell reproductions and originals.
